Game-Based Approach

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Batter Up’s game-based approach, with its highly-qualified coaches & lightly-controlled scrimmages, has proven to be the perfect recipe for giving young athletes a love for the game that keeps them playing for life.  The drill and skill portion of the day is full of friendly competitions that keeps players learning the importance of hard work, repetition, dedication and sportsmanship.

I’ve been coming here for years, and my favourite part is that we get to play baseball games

everyday!

KIDS FIRST

"Knowing Your True Worth"

Batter Up cares about developing better people, not just better players. For this reason, we take a 'Kids First' approach in our philosophy to ensure that our players know their true worth lies in who they are, not how well they perform. This gives them the ability to take risks, try new things on the field, and take the game seriously while having a great attitude and a ton of fun!

In the summer of 1996, Batter Up Baseball launched its first summer camps at Neilson Park in Scarborough, ON. Three years later, Batter Up expanded its services to include winter programs, private instruction and team camps at Dunmoore Park in Pickering, ON.

As its players developed, Batter Up began offering recruiting services to assist players in landing University scholarships, developing them from the early stages of T-ball and little league into competitive High School and University athletes.

The baseball camps then moved to Springfield Park in Mississauga, ON after its 10th year in operation.  Batter Up teamed up with GameOnCamps.com to have a global outreach.  Camps have been held in Africa, India and Ukraine (Baseball, Hockey, Soccer and Basketball).

In 2019, Batter Up shifted its camps to Birchwood Park in Mississauga and started a new location in Milton, ON while adding Girls Softball Camps to the mix. In 2024, there are now additional locations at Tom Chater Park in Mississauga along with two new locations in Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, Colorado.

In addition to baseball camps, Batter Up offers coaching clinics, try-out evaluations, volunteering, leadership development and summer job opportunities for student-athletes.
